Carmen
Chapa-Johnson is delighted to welcome you to her home
in The Big Country.
Carmen was raised in San Benito, Texas.
She lived the typical small town
life. Her father owned the grocery store and was the butcher.
She excelled at theater, debate, was the drum major at
San Benito High School and was selected to the All-State
Band. She attended Baylor University on a scholarship
and was a featured twirler in the Baylor Golden Wave Marching
Band.
Later Carmen was awarded a Master
Degree in Fine Arts from The University of North Texas.
Now she is a real estate agent with Judy Pittman, Inc.
and specializes in the Turtle Creek and Uptown area of
Dallas. She is also the principal clarinetist for The
Dallas Opera Orchestra and annually gives a chamber music
performance with local artists at The Old Jail Art Museum
in Albany. Carmen brings her small town values of hospitality
and comfort to your stay at Casa de Carmen.
Warren Johnson grew up in the Dallas area and,
after high school, enlisted in the United States Marine
Corps. After graduating
from The University of Texas at Austin he was involved
in the computer industry and, later, construction. Now
he is a real estate broker specializing in downtown
properties, both residential and commercial, in Fort
Worth and Dallas. Warren bring his “Marine Corps
Clean” training to Casa de Carmen.
